Requirements
Arsenal runs on ASUS ROG and TUF laptops and handhelds under Windows 11. What it can control depends on what your particular ASUS model exposes, and this page is about telling you that up front.
What your ASUS model decides.
These are the features that exist only if your hardware has them. Arsenal detects each at startup and hides the ones it cannot drive, rather than offering a control that quietly does nothing.
| Feature | Needs | If it is missing |
|---|---|---|
| Ultimate GPU mode | A MUX switch in the machine | Eco, Standard and Optimized still work |
| Eco GPU mode | A switchable dedicated GPU | Nothing to switch off; the row is hidden |
| Custom fan curves | Firmware support for writing curves | Modes still change the firmware's own curves |
| CPU undervolt | A supported Ryzen part and the required driver | Power limits and the temperature ceiling still apply |
| Mini-LED multi-zone | A Mini-LED backlight | Brightness works as usual |
| OLED dimming | An OLED panel | Standard brightness only |
| Resolution toggle | A dual-mode panel | Refresh-rate switching still works |
| Anime Matrix / Slash | The lid display | Keyboard lighting is unaffected |
| Panel overdrive | Firmware support | Refresh rate changes without it |
| Peripheral controls | A supported ASUS mouse or keyboard | The Devices page stays empty |
What to do about Armoury Crate.
You do not have to uninstall it
Arsenal does not require removing anything. It talks to the same firmware interfaces directly, so the vendor stack can stay installed.
But do not run both
Two applications writing the same firmware and HID endpoints will overwrite each other. Settings appear to revert on their own. Stop one.
Services can be stopped
Advanced can stop the ASUS background services without uninstalling them, and start them again whenever you want the vendor app back.
Not sure whether your model is supported?
The About page names what Arsenal detected on your machine, which is the fastest answer available.
