Introduction

Supported hardware controls, app navigation and how settings are applied.

Arsenal is a native Windows control panel for supported ASUS laptops and handhelds. It brings performance, graphics, cooling, display, battery and lighting settings into one app, with a tray Quick Panel for everyday controls.

What it does

The current Windows download is a portable x64 executable, 11.8 MB, which uses .NET 10 Desktop Runtime. Local hardware controls do not require an Arsenal account. The app stays running in the notification area until you choose Quit.

Available controls depend on the model, firmware, drivers and connected devices. Some controls are hidden or disabled when their requirements are not met.

Hardware support

Arsenal uses the interfaces available on your machine. It cannot add a MUX switch, Mini-LED backlight or individually addressable keys to hardware that lacks them. A visible control does not establish that every ASUS model behaves identically.

Custom power limits, clock offsets and undervolting change operating settings. Their available ranges and results vary; a selectable value is not a guarantee of stability.

How controls are applied

AreaHow Arsenal controls it
Performance, fans and charge limitASUS firmware interfaces, with additional CPU-specific access for supported tuning.
GPU modes and tuningASUS graphics-switching controls and supported GPU driver interfaces.
DisplayWindows display APIs and ASUS panel and colour controls, depending on the setting.
Lighting and peripheralsSupported ASUS HID and firmware interfaces.
Live readingsAvailable CPU, GPU, battery and fan sensors. Missing readings depend on hardware and access.

Other hardware-control software can write to the same settings. If a choice keeps reverting, check Troubleshooting.

Find your controls

  • Home shows your device, live readings and a saved selection of controls.
  • Quick Panel opens from the tray and has its own tile layout.
  • Performance, Display & graphics, Battery, Devices, Lighting and Automation group the main controls by subject.
  • Drivers finds ASUS packages; About checks for Arsenal updates and shows system specifications.
  • Advanced, Settings and Mobile companion cover system options, appearance and phone pairing.
  • Ctrl + K opens the command palette to find indexed settings, pages and actions.
