Display and graphics

Refresh rate, overdrive, Mini-LED zones, OLED dimming, GameVisual and colour profiles.

Display & graphics contains GPU modes and supported laptop-panel controls. GPU switching is covered in GPU modes.

Refresh rate

The page offers the low-rate option, normally 60 Hz, and the detected maximum. It does not list every refresh rate Windows may expose. Selecting a manual rate turns off automatic refresh.

Panel overdrive

On supported panels, maximum refresh and maximum refresh with + OD are separate choices. The selection writes an explicit overdrive state. Advanced includes controls to disable overdrive automation or force overdrive availability.

Automatic refresh rate

Automatic refresh selects the low rate on battery and the maximum on AC. Check this option if your rate changes after plugging in or unplugging. Home and Quick Panel also expose refresh controls.

Mini-LED multi-zone

On supported Mini-LED panels, this control switches the backlight’s zone behavior. Options depend on the panel and firmware.

OLED dimming

OLED dimming uses the ASUS colour pipeline to dim the image. It is separate from Panel brightness, which controls normal display brightness.

When GameVisual is disabled

Arsenal disables OLED dimming changes and skips restoring saved dimming while GameVisual is Disabled. Normal panel brightness remains available.

Resolution and HDR control

  • Toggle FHD / UHD: switches supported dual-mode panels. This is not a general list of Windows resolutions.
  • Toggle HDR control: changes the supported ASUS HDR-control setting when Windows HDR is already enabled. Turn Windows HDR itself on or off in Windows display settings.

GameVisual, gamut and white point

ControlChoices
GameVisual profileDefault, Racing, Scenery, RTS/RPG, FPS, Cinema, Vivid, Eyecare, eReading and Disabled.
Colour gamutNative, sRGB, DCI-P3 and Display P3.
White pointWarmest through Neutral to Coldest.

These controls require compatible ASUS colour components and hardware. HDR and Windows colour-management state can affect their availability. Eyecare is a GameVisual preset; the page does not offer a separate Windows ACM switch.

ASUS colour profiles

Use ASUS ICC profiles → Install profiles to retrieve and install profiles for the detected model and panel, when available. The page reports profile status.

Arsenal.exe colors

On a fresh launch, this action opens Display and starts profile installation. See CLI behavior if Arsenal is already running.

Panel brightness

The panel-brightness slider follows Windows brightness changes. Use it for normal backlight adjustment, including when the GameVisual pipeline is disabled.
