Themes

Compare the standard Windows style with the Arsenal theme and choose the appearance that suits you.

Choose a theme in Settings → Appearance → Theme. System follows the Windows light or dark setting; Dark and Light keep a fixed palette. Arsenal gives the same controls a distinct set of rows, section cards, choice buttons and transitions.

The same settings, two styles

These are the Appearance controls rendered by the stable Windows app in Dark and Arsenal. Dark keeps the section heading above its rows. Arsenal opens the section as its own page, so the controls occupy the section surface.

Actual Windows UI from the stable build, captured with sample settings. Scroll a capture sideways on a narrow screen, or open it at full size. Accent colour and transparency follow your Windows and Arsenal settings.

What changes in the Arsenal theme

  • Rows: a slim accent rail appears on hover or keyboard focus, and selected choice buttons use the accent outline and fill.
  • Sections: cards have their own border and movement. Open one and its title and description take over the page heading; the path above it leads back.
  • Motion: hover, selection and page changes use distinct short transitions.

The controls and hardware support do not change with the theme. For the title-bar path and page movement, see Pages and sections.

Choose your appearance

  1. Open Settings, then Appearance.
  2. Under Theme, select System, Dark, Light or Arsenal. The change applies immediately. System follows Windows from the next theme change.
  3. Set Accent colour to Windows or Custom. This choice is separate from the theme.
  4. Use Disable transparency if you prefer an opaque Arsenal window. It does not change transparency elsewhere in Windows.
